It’s not often that I film subjects outside of nature and wildlife. However, I think the challenge of going outside your comfort zone by shooting different situations makes you a better filmmaker.

So here is an evening of fireworks in the small town I used to live in a few years ago. I think they rival many bigger cities displays.

Now that I have a camera that shoots 1080p/60p I’d love to film some more fireworks one of these days.

Today my country celebrates its independence but we should also celebrate our independence as indie filmmakers. Who would have thought that so many of can shoot and edit on the same gear used on big Hollywood studio productions?

 

And as always, shoot the ordinary and make it extraordinary!
